According to 19 year old Grace her, she decided to leave her child’s father because he couldn’t provide for them. She and her child spent the night on the street of Accra until she found a job as a help at a chop bar (local food joint) which also served as her sleeping place. The chop bar however had to close due to the pandemic and Grace lost her job, food, as well as shelter.
With the training and start up package received from S.Aid, Grace now prepares liquid soap which she sells to women in the market ,and she hopes to send her child to school when schools reopen .
She said “I now have hope”.
